Just heard back from ORI:
Wow, this is amazing! Black bears are uncommon in the valley – Grizzlies are seen far more often. This bear likely wants to get back to his forest habitat in the Mission Mountains. Denver is going to keep an eye out for now.

snowy ...

The 3 chicks are well whipped by their mom.
Also tomorrow the temperatures should lie only with 0°C to 10°C.
Today 0°C to 4°C.

it's heartbreaking

Mod Riv :
I'm just getting up and having a look back, and confirming what you've observed. It looks like we've lost #1, probably to exposure. It looks like the effects were hitting before the end of that last meal when #1 was having trouble with the last bite. #1 kept accepting bites, but not seeming to swallow, more of a sluggishness than choking. Then, when the meal was over, it wasn't able to get back into cup and perished from exposure. That's just my best guess on first review. Bless its little heart. R.I.P. Little one.

Seira, I'm also trying to translate the comments. The weather is therefore not the cause. And yes, one of the chicks was really very tender.
Every loss hurts...we don't want to be sorry - is it true? =)

Hopefully the little one fell asleep without sorrow.

Also the parents need a lot of energy for the heat development and the constant search for food. They do it well. It is a great calm couple and they always watch each other.

Be all happy coincidences with them and the chicks!

Actually, the weather was most likely the cause -- "exposure" meaning overexposure to low temperature, since ospret #1 wasn't able to get back into the nest bowl and underneath the mother (unlike #2, who didn't go so far or so long into the snow, and somehow got back under the female when she settled in again after feeding).
Sad news, in any case. Hoping better for the remaining two osprets.

Then I must have misinterpreted the translation. Unfortunately, I did not fully understand that the chick was longer without parental protection.

Thanks for the correction @yitmoth!

Hal comes to sit on the eggs and Harriet leaves. Hal gets up and leaves the eggs exposed for a few minutes and you can see them in the video, up close, then Harriet returns. Hal leaves, again, and returns with a fish for Harriet!

Charlie has a fish but takes it to the ground. Charlotte chases him across the field and finally gives up. Then the Magpies decide to have some fun.

Poppy Mod :
One of the eggs apparently didn't develop properly, it is broken and placed out of the nest bowl
As far as I have observed, the failed egg was the 3d that was laid. So we are still on pip watch for egg # 2
