Good work, though!

Hi Chimega:

Last info & pics by Irish Eyes and JudyB on Hancock-Wildlife-Forum

I did stumble across another image from a couple of hours before the cam went down - Oscar and Handel. This might be the delivery Bev documented around 10 am on Saturday, or could be a slightly later delivery; I thought I'd add it for the record.

Hi Ferenz,

I managed to find their youtube cam link very early yesterday after I left here. There was a woman there who said the Ospreys have probably gone on migration but by your pix, it looks like the chick is still too young to fly that kind of trip. Maybe I am wrong. Anyway, here is the cam link for youtube.

Chimega: female juvie "Ollie" - hatched 11 June - was last seen on 1 Sept > 81 days old / male juvie "Handel" - hatched 14 June - was last seen on 7 Sept > 85 days old. Not unusual to migrate with that age.

Dyfi osprey chicks from Wales UK migrated with an age between 74,81,83,84,86,90 up to 93 days since 2013 - 2019. The youngest chick of 2019-season Peris (m) migrated with 74 days of age!

Charlo, Montana

September 18

Poppy Mod :
First things first: Denver Holt retrieved the fishing line and the hook from the nest, so there is no reason to be worried about Charlie!
>Got the hook and most line. Some line and weights still there but I think okay. Let’s hope that's it. Left the ladder up just in case :-)

This is how the issue unfolded: Charlie delivered a fish including fishing line! The fish escaped from the nest during the usual delivery kerfuffle, and dangled from the nest.

He retrieved the fish, the line still attached to it, and circled around the nest, wrapping the line more and more around it. C 9 got caught in it for a little moment, while trying to head to the perch with the fish:
