So she layed only one egg :puzzled: maybe the reason was the stress and fight with the previous female...

One of chicks was taken by nothern goshawk this morning !!!

in slow motion

On fb is info that a forester went to this place and found the chick, that probably was too heavy for the hawk

We really don't know anything about dad Szuwarek, last time he was in the nest with fish two days ago, on July 3 at 18-19.
But mom RoSzponka is near the nest guarding it, she is sitting on the pole, below the nest, so we can't see her in cam. At first it was thought that it is kidnapped juvenile.

And yes, Birdfriend, the only juvenile today's evening begin nicely helicoptering.

There is update on fb with photos ( in Polish, but you may use translator ):

Birdfriend, for many years until ten days ago I thought that our nest is very happy nest. And now I am forced to change my mind.
When after the first attack goshawk didn't repeat it within next 1-2 days I thought that it never more come back.

Now we are worring very much about dad Szuwarek ... :slap:
Both chicks were fed two days ago last time and the last one surely is hungry
And we also are no longer sure that goshawk forgets about the third juvenile.
That is chick #2, as first was kidnapped #1 and today #3.
I'm crossing fingers and wish good luck our pretty last juvenile :2thumbsup:
May s/he safely departs to Africa.
