MAR.9.
Some unrest in the morning.
Male calling and going on and off the egg.
Some 4 young WTEs were in the area yesterday. Might need some calls to stay out.
Female in - and both left. Maybe for mating.

:hi: albicilla I got a new laptop yesterday and use Windows Paint for scaling. But I will be returning to Linux Ubuntu next week, that I am used to and there I use the very simple image editor GIMP - if it is needed, namely the Print Screen capture is usually ready small enough already when saving, at this cam.

Morning incubation (funny disturbance in the img :puzzled: )

I prefer picr.de 640x480 or in 2nd snap 800pixel

Still one egg, good that it is not incubated too diligently, hopefully there will be other egg(s)
Image

Now it is covered again
Image

(the size of these imgs is smaller because of the previously saved scale, it can be adjusted as wanted in Paint)

INFO:
the second egg last year was laid on the 10th March (the first one on the 7th March)
https://www.looduskalender.ee/forum/vie ... 30#p713330

the third egg on the 13th March
https://www.looduskalender.ee/forum/vie ... 98#p713898

Btw at 13:12 LK time the cam time stamp is 6 mins late :puzzled: EDIT: it was corrected at 13:15 LK time to almost right :D

Female calling 12:41 nest time. After that she rose up and showed her only egg

The nest is empty - I haven't followed the last hours continously - has Female returned - she was absent for a long time? :puzzled:

I am at work and cannot capture pictures

17:25? cam time (17:29 LK time) a CROW! :slap: :egg: :slap:
I saw the crow take some down but then the camera turned to the landscape to search for the eagles, I suppose. Hope the egg lies hidden in the nest fluff. I don't think a crow can carry an eagle egg, if it wanted the egg it should have eaten it on the spot.

Google translation of the news on the DOF page:
Turned with the camera.
Written by Kim Skelmose on March 10, 2021 at 18.03
I was inside turning and zooming with the camera to give the crow 'a helping hand' to disappear. The crow is not used to the camera, as the eagles are, and therefore it was worth trying to move the camera.

Rasmus Romme has been out looking for the eagles and any disturbances in the area. He saw the eagles fly out over the bay just before 6 p.m.

Now it's getting dark, and then we have to see what happens.
Night rest on the way
Written by Ole Friis Larsen on March 10, 2021 at 18.49
Unfortunately, the technique teases. I also have a black screen, but Kim and Rasmus can follow 'behind'. At 18:42 they report that the male has flown off the nest to keep the young eagles in the area away from the nest. There is a little less turmoil, so there is enough to come night rest.

We do not know, of course, but we expect the male to spend the night with the female on the nest or quite close to the nest to protect her and defend the nest from any disturbance. Now we see what happens.

Thanks for the reports Ferenz and Mamicja!

She looks exhausted, poor young deliverer :egg: :egg: :eagle:
Is she alright :slap: I don't think she is ... :slap: I could not watch the video, it looked scary.

Happy to see that she is moving!
Image

She rose and aerated the bowl a little and laid down again
