Not nice your friend  , you saw it with your own eyes and that's the main thing

I also would not mind - to see a WTE, outside in the nature, this is already something great! I think I also would not mind if the photo is a bit out of focus! Keep them coming! They are great!

Nein, it's Linnet (Bluthänfling in Deutsch), juvenile or female.

 Thank you really very very much. There were many birds, I saw only the juvenile or female :D . Also the reed bunting. Such a special face and back and I did not know.
Sorry, but there was a bird yesterday at my nearly daily place. Very quiet day but I made some photos. At home saw this bird with an insect in its beak

Das ist Neuntöter (Lanius collurio). I think female, but maybe also juvenile.

Fleur, as much as I would wish to, they are not mine, but fireblade's! Really beautiful.
Alice, I also wondered, the primaries look quite different from what I know about a WTE flight silhouette! Or is it a very tattered one, looking at the tail?

Again, beautiful photos! Spring and autumn are really the best times for going out to photograph wildlife! Thanks, Fireblade, for sharing!

Thanks for the pictures again, fireblade1.

Sorry of the off topic, I haven´t find a bird photographing discussion here yet. I would be interesting to hear some opinions about cameras. Maybe you have some? Did you say earlier you use Canon EOS? What model, if I may ask?

I´ve been seeing a few hawks lately. This morning on my way to work I saw a hawk chasing pigeons in the city. So exciting! (It was light coloured under and had a stripy tail. I wish I could recognize them better, I´m guessing only what species it was.) :faint: And I wish I´d had a good camera with me. My Canon Ixus isn´t good enough for long distance photographing. Some day I would like to get a better camera, but I don´t know what would be a good choice.

I usually check bird photos from Finnish web site Tarsiger (http://www.tarsiger.com/home/index.php?sp=&lang=eng). I looked what kind of cameras they use, for example Canon EOS ID, 7D, 50D and I noticed they can cost thousands of euros. A bit too much for me maybe at this point. So any good tips what kind of camera would be good but would cost less than 1000 euros. Anyone? :puzzled: Thank you. :)
