Even if it is snowing at the WTE nest(s), the hope for spring grows with every passing day. Thanks Lussi for this little "sun" on a grey day.

As there are no flowers in our forest yet and it is full of snow, I'll place here this nice blue palm tree from Fort Lauderdale.

 Today it a very nice day for me. Really spring! The loong winter ended and we were out to look at some places. Sure numero uno was wte nestings. We had a look on four nests and only one nest was not in use (we saw the pair together in a tree hundreds of meters away). In two nests we saw feedings and one head of an eaglet each.
First we looked (without success) for an eagle owl nest in a kormorant-colony

You can see the distance to the nest in the pine (or so)
Image
Here was the feeding. Saw a few times head and beak of the eaglet (hope, there are two, but not sure)
Image
Here another nest (observed). Heavy I think
Image
On this picture I (maybe only) can see the little head (like a snowball with a little black dot :D )of one of the eaglets (hope there are two)
Image
And this picture, like the first, for everybodys spring 8-)

Beautiful pictures :loveshower:

Yesterday we had another snow fall, but the weather cleared up, and we had a beautiful afternoon. The snow we got earlier melted, and took some of the old snow away too.

A little video of my cat, enjoying one of the first snow free spots, and listen to the chaffinches singing..
