What a nice walk and nice weather you had, Bea. Great you shared this impressions with us. Beavers worked hard in your area and the mallards are so cute. It's wonderful to see spring is coming and the plants are growing.

Last day of February today - when flipping the calendar sheet over for tomorrow, my eye fell on 20. March --> first day of calendarian spring ...
Busy bees have already found coltsfoot in bloom, too
Coltsfoot was on the bank of a brook, towards south, without any shadow disturbing direct sunshine.

Meteorological start of spring is tomorrow!Bea wrote:Last day of February today - when flipping the calendar sheet over for tomorrow, my eye fell on 20. March --> first day of calendarian spring ...
In Germany it was the "4th warmest winter" since beginning of weather records, 3° C warmer than normal. But unlike last year, we also had more sunshine hours. Bea caught some of them on her photos

These blossoming plants, you have taken, Bea, let forget the dark season!
And the blue-white sky goes well with the fresh colors of the plants.

Even if the weather wasn't very nice today (dark, grey and cloudy) I saw some nice things on my afternoon-walk.
Boars were busy
And in the forest I saw three roe-deer. I think it was a buck and two females

Manu, you really had a very interesting and great afternoon walk! Deers, boars digging, and a beautiful ( ) flower that really must have brightened up the landscape - thank you for sharing your walk with us
Bea, beautiful pictures of the spring flowers, and the typical, white and blue, Bavarian sky:) (it's NOT typical here these days, here we have the gray version;)

Manu - are you walking so gentle on toe tips on your tours? To meet roedeers is great - and to make a picture of them!
And you found a Seidelbast, too
Boars made a lot of damage in the meadow ....
Thank you for sharing your pics

I was really a lucky one to see the roe deers and catch them with the cam. They are so well camouflaged and so cautious. (But I'm too )
The "Seidelbast=beautiful flower" was the only thing today which wasn't gray and brown. It was no sunshine to see the whole day.
Fortunately the boars worked in a nature protection area so the damage isn't worse. Now I know they're boars around my area. Maybe I will meet them some day too. Who knows...

Riitta: Yes, I was really happy when I came home from my walk even it was bad weather and the ground was very swampy. It was like a bit "win the lotterie".

Wonderful photos.
I have been looking for spring a little bit too on Saturday. But it was a sort of grey day too.

Thank you for all pics!
Felis, the spring blooms are so nice - promising color spots.
Airras, the grass is already so green in your area.

It was not a day to take pics of a blue, sunshiny sky - it was a bit hazy. But there are always some finds
