What cuties!! Lovely, a very lovely video!

 Hello! I'm back. But I'll not make as much videos as earlier. It's partly be cause of Nanu that I have had pause. This winter might be his last winter.. The veterinarian told us that he may live for some moths more.. He aslo warned us not to wait too long... He is fine, but he is very old, 15 years, 11 months now. He is eating well, likes to walk in the forest, but he is rather weak and slow, fragile. Well. it's normal for him at this age. Anyway, I'm happy for each day he is fine.

Today we had a kind of snow fall here:

The dog barking there towards the end is the dog of the neighbor police's Bernese dog, always alert. The dog announced that I opened the window..

That was all I had in my video folder.
Well, so we will see how the next spring will be. But it takes some weeks yet. I pray that Nanu will see it too. He loves to dig little holes in the vegetable and flower bed.. On next Tuesday I'll go with him to the trimmer to brush his fur ready for the spring and summer to come!

I am sorry to read the sad news, Olga. I hope for some good months still ahead for you and Nanu! I hope the squirrels visiting can give you a bit of consolation, thanks for sharing them once more. They all look well!

Yes Felis, it's a hard time we have ahead. But we will do our best that Nanu has everything he likes..
Number 1: Favorite food. He is allowed to sleep as much as he wants in peace. Nappu has to be taken elsewhere for some days when she gets the next heat time (in March-April) to not to bother Nanu.

We let him go in the garden when ever he wants, he will have forest walks but not to long walks, he loves to sniff everything there in the forest.. Many times there he likes just to stay for while and just 'meditate' for a while wihtout anyone to press him to hurry.. etc..

We have a good vet who knows and likes Nanu very much. We may have contact with him at any time... He perhaps may even come here on Squirrel hill if needed..

BTW: Nanu can still jump on the bed and off the bed on his own. I love to listen when I hear him eating with good taste..

His father Girju was weaker at same age, we had to carry him on the bed.

Time goes too fast!... :slap:

See you  I'll follow squirrel's life too, but only with one eye..

 Hi, Lussi! Everything is alright!
Thanks for compassion. Nanu went walking in the garden. He has eaten and he is all content.
His fur looks bad - he has like two fluffy fur layers and the first one is pushing out! Well, we are goinmg to the trimmer tomorrow.

Squirrels of today:

Dear Olga,

I agree with heidu - please give Nanu a big hug and cuddle and ruffle him on the place where he loves it most :D

Enjoy the time you still have together with him, I am sure he will do so also.

Dear Olga :hi:

I'm sorry to read sad news about Nanu. :(
I know what you are feeling now because he is a member of family and it's difficult to accept that this is last winter with him.
I wish you in this hard time many happy days with Nanu in good condition.
A lot of hugs and kisses from me to Nanu. ♥♥♥

Thank you Olga for your beautiful pictures and videos of squirrels. They look lovely. :loveshower:
Thank you also for your video of snowfall with nice music on the background and for video of Magpie.
You have a lot of snow at backyard. In my area snow almost completely dissolved.

***alice44 and Felis silvestris, thank you very much for superb picture and link to video. :2thumbsup:

I found great pictures made by Konsta Punkka. He is 20 years old amateur wildlife photographer from Helsinki.

4th March

 Thank you Lussi! My goodness the little baby pup squirrel, he was caught in a thorn!
Thanks to the lovable people it was saved.
Oh dear. Life can be dangerous!

:slap: I have been of for weeks now. Life is going on here, squirrels visit daily as always, small birds have begun their spring singing. It seems that spring is really near..

Today I saw one very sweet squirrel. I'm not sure who it is, but it looks young to me:

Thank you for your good wishes to Nanu, all of you, heidu, Margossa, Alice, Lussi, Bea and others!

Nanu is alright! Today he has eaten for two times and he is sleeping now. It's him whom I have been spending time for the most. I do not notice any change to worse.. Perhaps he is more tired after walks nowadays, but all in all he is fine... :dunno:
