Thanks, I went and gave a hug to him! :D He was snoring quietly.

BTW for half an hour ago he ate for the third time today, went outdoors and after that he went back to sleep!
I give him all what he likes best. Yesterday he was so tired having walked for a long path in the forest, that he almost had no interest to eat at all. Huh, I was worried, but today he was alright again.

I'm happy to read that Nanu is doing fine at the moment. I think we all here think of him!

Squirrels are also happy as we can see. Ours here too. I have to take the photos I made lately from the camera and see how dirty our windows are

Hi, Felis! Good, please, photos are welcome!

I haven't made screenshots this time. But we will see later on, I haven't stopped to make them.
There were too many videos for one time to edit..

I have to continue tomorrow: four 'old videos' are still waiting..

Yes, I have seen now your 'black' squirrels. Is it real black or just dark brown.
I'll add here the links to your squirrels:

viewtopic.php?p=361210#p361210

They are very beautiful, they look exactly similar to the Finnish squirrels, only the main color is different. Only Castano's fur is close to the fur of your squirrels.

On the other picture Castano has put a nut in his mouth and he is leaving with it. It's true, as you have noticed there in the thread Winter 2014-2015, here too squirrel prefer to hide pea nuts in the ground, but never sun flower seeds! Haha  .. they know that the seeds will grow to big flowers and they do not eat sun flowers!

 BTW, why not to add here too some of your photos! It would be easier to compare.

This one is familiar looking, but I can't recognize it. It's strange, but the tail of this squirrel is seemingly shorter than the tails we have have seen month after month.

The fact is: There has been only one squirrel who had (has??) a short tail: Baby face. But Baby face has not been seen almost for one year! I cant remember when I saw him for the last time.

Image

This picture is the last I have taken of him.. I saw him after that only for one time, one early morning when it was too dark to take video.

Baby face on the 26th February 2014:

:slap: Could it have been Baby face I saw today?? :faint:

Baby face is the only one with that short tail I ever have seen during the five years. It is like 'the top of tail missing'.

I'm so glad to hear that Nanu is fine at the moment. Like Felis say, we are all thinking of him.

It's great to meet the squirrels again, and you are right, Castano has a dark, beautiful, colour on his fur.
It would have been very nice if it IS Baby face, or perhaps one of his offsprings?? (or do you think his tail was short because of an accident?)

For the first time in two years a squirrel is visiting my feeder again. It's so nice! It's very shy, so it's difficult to take pictures. But I managed to sneak in on it one morning

 A very good photo, Lussi! Beautiful squirrel. He looks at you :D

I do not dear to guess what has happened to the top of Baby face's tail top.

Perhaps it's natural.

Baby face used to be rather shy, and I'm not sure if the 'new comer' is really him. I wait till I can see better his face, and the color of the summer fur has to be seen also.

edit: Baby face (probably) yesterday. He looks very much our dear Baby face. The tail is hardly as long as his body. All in all he is rather small, and the face is 'baby like' (look forwards):

Image
It's a pity that the reflection of my fingers spoils the picture a bit.. There is nothing pink reddish on his tail and back

the fur color looks very familiar too..
Here you can see why I happened to name this squirrel as Baby face:
