Sad when we cannot see those little striped beauties But I understand why they have desidet to finish feeding there. The muddy ground is not comfortable.
So I must go there again and have a look of piglets

Years are not brothers indeed. There are more web-cams this year but they closed earlier and perhaps the BS cam will be opened later than a year ago.

There were elks, more boars and more roe deers but fewer furries and no stripped piglets. And neither snowmama nor the sign "END" written on the last day of the season. The cam closed suddenly when nobody expected it and that is a bit sad. At least last year we had a time to say good-bye, now we don't. :(

Yes, that was a shock. I do wish we had some warning, that we could pass on to everyone, but I think you got the news before I did - my time is 2 hours behind Estonia!

Communication has sometimes been a problem in the past, too.

It has been a very good pig cam year, and now it closes suddenly.

Instead, we can watch snow-melt flood water at Soomaa - just started the topic today!

I think the piglets from last year appeared here all the season, they just grew up a bit and we did not recognize them.

i am glad that i could see so big nuber of boars moose deer foxes racoon dogs :)) i will miss cam i allways sart day with cam and ended day with boars it was great time :)) see you all in next season

We had a wonderful season this year! So many different/new animals!

While we eagerly wait for the boars to show up again on camera:

The boar feeding site in Puhja that the bears occupied in the first story is just 10 kilometres west of Ilmatsalu.

The ground should probably be properly frozen before the cameras come online.
There seems to be quite a lot of snow in places in Estonia - may be some trouble where it has fallen on unfrozen ground; it will be like a nice insulating blanket then.

Last year, and the year before that, Camera 1 opened on December 11

And hmmm, complaints from people with lawns and gardens worked over by boars start showing. Even advice in gardening journal, "what to do when your lawn has been ploughed up ..."
