TY for sharing this movie, impressive!
It's tragic, that this beautiful bird finds not enough place and good conditions for breeding in germany.

In Germany there are only very few LSE-pairs. The Nabu has now started a project. The site is in German.

There are still around 100 breeding pairs in Germany. That it has become no less is already a first success of our work. Nature gives us the chance to double the brute success. Because the second-born chick dies normally in the nest. But we take it carefully, parachute it in a secret breeding station and the young eagles just before the bird migration.

Part 2 of our rescue plan is to secure the train paths and the habitat. Power lines must be secured, new sites for life-threatening wind farms must be changed, and hunting for migratory birds must be stopped. And we ensure breeding and hunting areas for all time by buying them.

Thanks Felis silvestris and Biker. These are interesting articles.

The Nabu has a train routing card online. At the moment, it is not up to date because it is spring. I follow the whole project very interested.Surely, when the journey begins, the map will update

The map shows the autumn route, but starts at the German-Polish border. The breeding grounds in Germany are to remain secret.

Horst protection for the lesser spotted eagle
January 23, 2018 Andreas KinserWissen
The number of lesser spotted eagle has stabilized at a low level in the state of Brandenburg in recent years. Torsten Langgemach from the bird protection bureau Brandenburg opposite the Märkische Oder newspaper. In Brandenburg, more than 20 breeding pairs of Clanga pomarina breed for over 10 years every year, in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, however, just under 100. Overall, in Brandenburg except the black stork increase the number of other large birds such as sea eagle and eagle owl in the woods , One reason for Langgemach is also the special horst protection, which was already introduced in the 1960s. Among other things, it stipulates that no wood may be used within a radius of 100 meters and that no machines may be used up to 300 meters around a nest between February and August.
