my grease "sausages" are titled by the manufacturer "tintin rasvasiemenseos" = 'tit's grease and seed mix' (approximately in English). the package has a drawn picture of a great tit wearing a scarf.
i also call them 'rasvapötkö' which means 'grease bar'. they have no official word.
this winter the tree sparrows (
Passer montanus) have been eating these grease bars with enthusiasm in my garden. i can't remember them doing it before. earlier they used to eat seeds only (if i remember right). the tree sparrows have been so eager eating grease that they even drive great tits away from the bars.
