Sova, there are windows on a terrace. Could it be that the finches have flown against the windows?

I have a question;
I feed bird on the terrace ... mixed feed (there are tits, sparrows and finches).
Within a week I found two dead finches. I called the game station, the lady told me to stop feeding for 2-3 weeks and preferably not to feed at all.
Everywhere we recommend that we feed bird, even in summer.
What should I do? ... stop feeding?

Hi Sova,

maybe these two internet articles from LBV Munich and Nabu can help you make your decision?

https://www.lbv-muenchen.de/unsere-them ... erben.html

https://www.nabu.de/tiere-und-pflanzen/ ... 11213.html

Articles are in German only, sorry. They are about Trichomonas gallinae, a bird disease that often hits Greenfinches.

Hello to all! :hi: Wonderful camera! :loveshower: I will watch this camera, it is useful to know all the birds. For example, I did not see a crested tit, but it flies here!

I do not see the number and time on the camera and I can not rewind. :slap: Am I doing something wrong or watching the wrong camera? :puzzled:

Hi Tatyana,

this cam has a time stamp, on the down left side. Unfortunately it is very small and now with the snowy background the time stamp is "melting" with the snow.

No rewind function for this cam available.

Bea! IceAge! Many thanks! I saw a time icon. Surprised that there is so much snow in Estonia! In our Moscow region, not only is there no snow, but the ice has all melted!

:hi: everyone!
yes, Tatyana Crested tit. And yes, they are difficult to observe everywhere. Even if you hear them calling in a tree (they prefer those with needles): they are restless and move quick, almost not to see.

Today midmorning was some camera zooming and focussing, a bit more view of the surrounding

And I noticed a Great spotted Woodpecker around noon - the first woodpecker I see here :shake:
It stayed behind the birch trunk most of the time, was interested in fat food, but didn´t come in better view to take a sharper picture.

Hello to all! :hi:

A lot of sparrows on the feeder, and they eat seeds in the fat! I put fat on the windowsill, tits eat it, and sparrows never eat fat!
