Ivo brought two fish at once  Chick's crop is full, but they always wants more
Thank you skyhawk for noticing this, it was impressive!

Ivo really brought one fish in each foot..

He apparently wanted to keep one for himself, but the other one jumped in the midst of kids, so Irma confiscated him also the 2nd fish.. Poor Ivo, today is really not the day when he is allowed his share..

At 21:52 Ivo arrived one more time, to check if there are any left-overs. No luck this time either..

Irma left briefly, there was a sound of a tree branch braking and she returned with a stick.

I love your last series of photos, Sunshine, where Ivo checks for the fish one more time then looks at us (the cam direction) as if to say - "what can I say? The wife won't give me any dinner. Ah, well."

I wanted to write "carp", but then it again would have been imprecise..
Oh my, how many sorts of carps are there in this world, Bea? :D

Too many, Sunshine!

When I am not quite sure which carp it is I use to write "one from the Carp family" :whistling:

Nothing is wrong then

But don´t hesitate to try to identify them --- we are all no Ichthyologists here, but we do our best and learning process is a never ending one

But oh dear --- look at this crop .... maybe we were both wrong with suggesting "Carp", Sunshine .... it looks much more it was a Globefish :rotf:

Tail of fish from Ivo
upd: not a tail, but a fish without a head.

But Irma does not feed chicks, it rains hard and she covers the chicks.

As Sappheira already wrote, Ivo brought a fish tail, but it started to rain immediately afterwards and Irma hurried to cover the small ones

Image

And how wise birds are! The wind/rain direction was from the left and Irma took exactly that side, to protect and shelter her kids most efficiently..
This is amazing, how she always follows the direction of the sun to give them shade and also the direction of rain/wind.

Bea, you meant the Blowfish? Oh, it looks like that, indeed! Their crops are simply bursting..
Or maybe it could have also been called - the "gobble-it-fish" :D

Yes, "Blowfish" and "Globefish" describe same species :D

----------

If this is the fish from 17:16-delivery, then it is a headless Tench

I collected some fishes that Ivo typically brings to the nest.
I could not differentiate between them, they all look like a fish. :rotf:

No, I think it's a question of practice. What I see so far: Some are more silver and some are more the colour of olives... :D

Image

Image

The shape is different, too. There are still some missing that I found in the thread...
