Hello everyone! I am very happy to see the nest online again! But it seems to me or the camera is focused not on the nest and somewhere here (red arrow)? :puzzled:

Yes, Lena, the focus is lost and the center of the picture looks cloudy.
And this is a map of bird migration, we see that almost all will be in Estonia soon, except for two that are still in Africa and one bird in India.

It seems that not every osprey with the transmitter migrates only to Estonia.

According to the birdmap, Elena and Vova both breed in northern Belarus, Usina breeds in Krasnojarsk, Russia, Vija breeds in Latvia, Markus breeds in northern Estonia and about Kalle there is no info provided.

Kalle and Markus are the only Estonian ospreys with transmitters on the Birdmap.

It seems, that the focus of the camera is in the distance (trees etc.) and the nest is a bit blunt..

Hello, dear osprey-friends!

Yes, the camera doesn't seem to focus properly on the nest... :puzzled:

Hopefully it will focus automatically when there is some more action in the nest.

Mogga! :D Hello again!

Just a question, is the second pic not from the second kalakotkas, Mai and Mati's nest? the scenery seems a bit different.. but probably it's because of the zoom.

Sunshine, Hellem

Oh, yes, you are right! It's the Marko & Miina nest... :slap:

At the pontu archive the folders are named "kalakotkas" and "kalakotkas2". I mixed up the two... :whistling:

Oh I can barely wait for this season to begin. It seems the winter was extra long this year. Let the festivities begin. Hello fellow osprey lovers. Hope your winter went well and that everyone is feeling okay. Look forward to our favorite couple returning soon.:loveshower:

Hello everyone!

Hellem, Lispet, Jenny, good to see you! :D

It seems that Vova has reached his breeding grounds in Northern Belarus  A lovely, watery reserve very close to the border with Russia and also Latvia.

Other ospreys are still on their journeys, so, it seems, we might have to wait a few days to see our Ivo and Iiris. Last year Ivo arrived on 7 April, and that was the earliest date that any of this nest's owners have ever returned.
This year the birds arrive earlier than usual, though..

Ah, the WTE ... at the beginning of last season they were also very present. I remember. :innocent: Many of us, including myself, were worried about it. But they left the nest and the residents alone.
I am very curious whether there will be so many female applicants to the nest again this year. Ivo and his harem were getting used to. :) Strangely, no males came, only females.

 Hello Everyone.
So many great posts, pictures and videos.
Thank you, Sappheira, for the bird map. I think that we will all celebrate the day that we see, Ivo & Iiris, back home in Estonia, soon. 8-)
