I wonder how deep is the cavity on the nest bowl Ivo has digged, half a metre?

I wonder what language the ospreys speak - as it looks that both the new male and the unknown female have vanished without any fights near the nest since Ivo arrived :puzzled: which is just fine for me :D

Hello! :hi: I am very happy that Ivo has returned home safely. 12:33. I don't know if his paws touched the nest today for the first time, but now he is carrying a stick for repairing the nest!

Thank you Gavril!
It is so sweet to see that as soon as Iiris noticed Ivo from the dead tree she headed for the nest as well.

After thousands of kilometres he is so energetic and eager - maybe he took a pause somewhere in order to show Iiris, that here we come, with life! :D Ivo is a star :headroll:

Iiris has stayed in the nest bowl for a long time now 17:56, she looks satisfied and to be at her home. :D

Why is Ivo turning away when Iiris comes into the nest too. That's what I meant when I've asked before how do they recognize each other. :slap:

:hi: Jenny

The male turns himself in a submissive position (turns his back and mantles) towards the female in order to ensure that he is harmless for her. It is natural and important behavior.

Also polite human males go on their knees when proposing their darlings
