# 1 finished his tail, took his fish and flew away.
As he calculated everything - he was going to fly away with the fish, but first he finished his tail so as not to throw it on the nest.

July 25. Good morning! Thank you for the reports, beautiful pictures and videos, Sappheira and Sniedzins! 4: 24. At dawn I see one osprey on an old tree. 2 more silhouettes are visible on the trees in the forest...perhaps it's just my imagination!
4:34. Two chicks almost simultaneously appeared in the field of view of the camera. One, it seems that #2 landed in the nest, and the second flew to an old tree.
#2 danced a little in the nest and soon flew off into the forest. One more chick flew down from the old tree. Now the chicks are flying through the forest. They are playing....
4:36. One of the chicks returned to the branch of an old tree. The second one continues to fly through the forest. It seems to me that Ivo warns from the forest.

4:36. Yes, this is Ivo warning. A bird flew swiftly through the forest. Perhaps it is a sparrowhawk. 4:39. An osprey flew down from the top of an old tree and flew to the nest. She flew away behind the nest.
Ospreys are talking in the forest.4:40. The chick (#3?) arrived at the nest. His mood is combative. Immediately a sparrowhawk flew over the low nest. Sparrowhawk cheekily landed on the top of a tree. Our chick flew in pursuit...

From time to time, the voice of a sparrowhawk is heard. 5:09. An osprey on an old tree was about to fly away, when suddenly it flew out of the forest...I think it's a woodpecker.
From time to time, the voice of a sparrowhawk is heard. In addition, a woodpecker is heard, someone from the vranovs (jay, cedar). It seems that they are all talking.

5:40. It seems that the cranes sang. The sparrowhawk screams all the time. I get the impression that this is a young man begging for food from his parents. 5: 43. Next to the nest, the osprey chicks also beg for fish.
5: 45. Iris brought a rich branch. A warning is heard from the osprey. Iris flew away.

6: 01. Iris brought a thin branch. She is trying to restore order in the nest. A minute later, a hungry chick appeared. He's hurting Iris! He's trying to bite her. Iris, at the same time, is in the performance of her duties as the mistress of the nest...
6: 03. Iris ran away to the webcam. The chick collects crumbs and entrails left over from the evening.

6: 43. A big bird flies over the forest. It seems that a smaller bird also flies over. Iris is nervous while sitting on the webcam. A large bird crouched on the top of a tree in the forest.

but then would we have seen or heard his parents? on the other hand, we do not have clear photos for identification. possibly two sparrowhawks are flying. although the time of year is probably too late for a couple? hawks, like osprey, unite in a family in spring and summer, and in winter they live separately in each of their territories. the territory of the female and the male may overlap. hawks do not allow birds of the same sex into their territory for hunting.

Yes, we don't see sparrowhawk up close. We do not clearly see its plumage and cannot judge its age.zuza wrote: ↑July 25th, 2021, 7:43 am good morning everybody!
