Nori was eating the flying fish Madis brought. She was eating it slowly, watching all around her. Then she flew off towards the woods with the fish. :chick:

Nori seemed to be paying attention to the bird calls -- I guess when you have a bunch of shouting siblings you don't get to hear what is going on around you very well

I was thrilled because I could see her go -- but I was watching too intently to get images :slap:

Wow Fleur you did catch the flyby and it might be a jay -- the wing patches look about right.

Starling your 10:33 capture shows a great view of Nori's tail and wings as she takes off.

It seems bright and not so windy at the nest now. Earlier when Nori was in the nest, the wind blew so hard Nori ducked down, and a cloud came and it got almost dark and I thought -- this is a message for Nori -- time to leave.

The wind is picking up again.

Wisteria, I agree about Starling's picture it is like you can see the force of the wind and air in Nori's tail.

Daylight now, 06:17. No sounds, no wind, everything very still.
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
