Was away again for some time, but back in house again I heard some chirping ran to the screen – just to find the nest empty, but then just a minut later
13.07 one landed upstairs and less than a minut later Piret landed on nest. She has now and then called – think she is waiting for a fish.
14.04 she still is

So did I, but haven´t time for more looking - - - and I dare to bet that Madis arrives with a nice fish nearly as soon as I have left cam.

Millie, yes I am almost sure we have to count from the last laid egg on. Because then the breeding started. So, with a minimum of 36 days, if we watch very closely every day from the 18th of June, we can not miss the hatching.

Madis brought a large, headless fish with him. Piret left with it, Madis on the eggs.

Nancy, on your picture of 7.19 am, did Piret really took the beak of Madis in her beak, or did it just look like it? :rotf:

 jopie Piret was really in front of Madis and I don't think their beaks even touched - it just sort of looks that way in the picture.

Do these overhanging breast feathers of Piret mean, her breeding spot is well developped now?
It sure looks very different then a few days ago.

Just thinking, as this nest is in Estonia why is this forum in the english language ? I am very pleased it is, otherwise I would not be able to understand. It was just a thought.

Millie, it is in English because they are nice and this way many people can join. An osprey chick for your birthday would be nice.

Piret left and after only a few seconds Madis arrived. So, why didn't he come earlier when Piret was calling all the time :puzzled:
