Hi Moderator

I came from Taiwan and watch this webcam an year ago.

Since Karri is dead, but the "ring"(I can't sure how to describe that) is still there.

Is there any possible that someone retrieve the "ring" and use it for another bird

:hi: Hi rankow2000,

I´m pretty sure that this autumn or latest next spring the Kotkaklubi Eaglemen will make a nest-and-camera-control here and take the ring away from the nest ..... when it is still there then

The only thing that can be done now is taking a feather for a DNA test(unless they did it during ringing).

Thank you to Looduskalender, to the wonderful Eagle Club men, the moderators and everyone here for the experience of watching the osprey nests this season. May all migrating osprey be safe and well and return next spring (spring 2015 for this season's chicks). Watching these nests, reading the forum and seeing all the wonderful pictures has been such a great experience. This is my second season - I have learned so much. All Looduskalender is such an amazing site. Will continue to follow the forums and look forward already to next spring and new generations.

Thanks NancyM,
I think, the pic was chosen, because it is the last picture of Kenno or Ilmar at the end of this season.
Since the quality of my screenshot is only moderate! :faint:

Sorry to say but although I love following the ospreys migration, I really hate to see these types of antenna transmitters attached on the poor birds’ back

The bird with the transmitter looked very dark to be an osprey. Maybe the lighting conditions were poor?

But other than that probably transmitters give a lot of information for ornithologists. Also: migrating birds are a good indication of the climate change. Their routes might change.

:hi:
Thanks, that my pics from nest now here to find. But I don't exactly understand why :puzzled:
Riitta, Hélène, Black swan sent beautiful images of the nest even without animals.
What was my mistake? :puzzled:
Thanks for answer
