One of the chicks inspects the nest a bit further, then returns to mama's direction

Fish could be a carp, yes - but it looks more like a "normal" carp, I can´t see scales that look like a "mirror".
For compare:
Mirror Carps (in German the first one is also called "Zeilkarpfen", with the long scale lines on its body)

The first feeding I found this morning was from 6:40 until 6:48.
It was a very tiny piece of fish Ivo delivered.
From 7:00-7:30 (time of my video!) the small one and the big one had a conversation. Not fighting, looks more like playing. Or maybe Smallie tried to get a piece of fish from Oldies beak...

Ivo brought a.. well, it is safe to say that it's a fish
14:55
All three little ones lining up. This year they are so different in colour, the Middlie (on the left) and Smallie (in front) especially.
The middle one (left, middle) is very grey, even silvery. The small one brownish, chocolate. And the eldest is the lightest in colour. That will change still, of course..

Thank you mogga for searching and sharing this piece of history. It seemed like the fight was more even between the two eldest then. The picture quality has truly improved from those days.mogga wrote: ↑June 12th, 2018, 10:33 pm
Here is the pecking of Niina, Thor, Yolanda on 16.06, 11:22
(The video quality at that time was not as good as now)

I observed many nests, when three chicks are there, it gives these rivalries very often, more and stronger than in nests with two chicks. Mostly the last hatched has a heavy destiny.
Do you know if there is a notable difference in survival rate between the youngest and elder birds? I would assume that when food is limited, it's the youngest who suffers, but I'm wondering how is it in situations where there is plenty of food available. Does the pecking lower the survival rate?

Yep, you are on the very safe side with this identification
I think it was a Tench (Tinca tinca)

I think it might be the Oldie on the left. At least it seemed to eat most and was the first to feel full. The coloring has become darker very fast and very recently.Sunshine wrote: ↑June 13th, 2018, 3:08 pm The middle one (left, middle) is very grey, even silvery. The small one brownish, chocolate. Juri, you might be right. The colouring changed so fast.. It made me a bit confused..
In either case, it will be 100% clear after the next fight

Dinnertime and a nice big fissh for the family at 16.50.
It seemed to me that smallie is very good at making his/her needs known and was well fed. Oldie has no problems , but it was middlie that seemed a bit left out .
There was also a funny moment when the fish intestines stretched and stretched and got wrapped around the chicks like tinsel on a Xmas tree. Mama Irma sorted it out.
Ivo arrived at 17.12 and flew off with the rest of the fish.
17.18 chicks are lying down and Irma on standby.
Think Middlie is still hungry though....
edit:
Just reading that the darker one is Middlie , so is Oldie the last at coming forward?...

Hmm, seira, you seem to be right.. I checked the videos. All the time the chick No #1 was the lightest from shading, the change was really sudden..
I am sorry for this confusion
