Estonian Osprey Nest (Irma & Ivo) 2018

I was out for a while. Now I see one ospret eating and another following beside, I don't see rings ...
I think the one eating is Heli and the one following is our brave Kaja

Yes, it is Kaja. Jaak has little more white on his head.
here are the last events
19:41 Heli gets fish from Ivo.
19:45 Jaak landed.
19:50 Jaak left.
19:51 Jaak returns.
19:52 Jaak left.
19:58 Kaja arrived

Do you have pictures about unknown osprey's visit on the nest at 19:27?

WHO without rings popped in on the nest before Irma chirping chased him/her away?
Maybe this is about the time for not successfully nested ospreys to start migration and pop in on nests they pass by

I'm not sure if I see two other ospreys before Irma.
I hope someone got recorded stream for this one.

Could be some female (as Irma was chasing it away with great alarm), who has probably begun the migration already and has wondered into Irma's/Ivo's territory.

7:31 Heli visited the nest, 7:48 again
8:01 Heli is back, Ivo landed and brought a piece of bark , Ivo left, 8:07 Heli flew away
8:16 Heli landed, 8:18 flew to the dead tree, 8:22 back to the nest, 8:29 jumped to the cam stand
8:35 Ivo brought a nice fish , Heli jumped from the cam stand and took it, Kaja landed
8:36 Heli flew away with her fish, 8:38 Kaja left
8:41 Irma brought a large stick , 8:44 she jumped to the cam stand
8:49 Kaja's short visit, 9:05 landed again calling for the fish, and took off

9:35 Irma landed and Ivo brought a BIG fish , Irma took it and flew away, Kaja landed but was too late, Kaja is hungry and calling for the fish, 9:41 she flew off

11:31 Kaja landed and Ivo delivered her a tailhalf of a fish.

11:44 The fish is gone, Kaja swallowed the last piece, cleaned her beak and left at 11:46

13:12 - 13:16 Irma brought a big stick and did a nestwork

8:35 Ivo brought a nice fish , Heli jumped from the cam stand and took it, Kaja landed

In comparison to Jaak, Heli does not let her fish be taken away easily She quacked at Kaja, protected her fish with wings and turned away. Afterwards she took off with it - to eat it in a safer place.

Just a few days we can still enjoy her company.. The more the migration time approaches, the more one has to think about the very long, perilous journey which lies ahead of all ospreys.. Dear Irma, I really hope her wisdom and long experience helps her to get safely to the wintering grounds!
