16:53 Kaja is dancing on the nest
....
It looked a bit as if she had a wasp under her petticoats

Maybe frustration about having no fish was the reason for this "fish-mambo" :D

Thank you all for reports and pics of Jaak's case.

I could not follow the thread yesterday, I got a panic feeling of his situation, Thanks Hellem for delivering Urmas' message by PM!

Now I see there is still hope that Jaak will get rid of that ring and continue living as a whole osprey. The ring looks relatively "loose", so that it might loosen quite soon. I am happy to read that Jaak has eaten during his accident, :2thumbsup:

I surely hope that, too! Osprets can handle fish in many ways, play with cones etc - so hopefully the mother nature learns Jaak a way to get rid of that ring

19:51 at some angles, the ring seems to have fallen off, just hanging there... I guess the ring is probably loose.

This raises hope, too.
At 19:08 Jaak nibbled at the ring in the right way.

Jaak is repeatedly focussing on his problem and he looks as if he is thinking how to solve it

I have to trust him, I cannot do otherwise. The ring is not far away to loosen wholly

Two days ago Kaja made also something like an "dance" with a big piece of bark. I posted about, it was funny to watch. Then she flew with her bark.
Tuks from the latvian nest showed also this behaviour last season, most likely a exercise.
Maybe our video-mogga would make a video about this event or maybe Bea.

It looks as if the ring has some leeway, but I think he is in some places on the toes a little firmer. It may take little effort to solve it. Yaak would have to draw only a little, or if at Going backwards the ring would get caught on a stick, it could be solved. Can nat. Also that the two toes are a little swollen, that does not make things easier. I have my doubts so that the ring solves so easily. That was just my way of thinking. I still hope that the ring somehow and as soon as possible, disappears.

Me too, we can only hope that this handicap turns to find a good end for Jaak. Nobody can and will help.

Maybe Jaak had already gnawed on the ring last night, since he was a bit down today ... maybe he did it at today's Night Work ...
