04:11 they bite alternately one another in the beak - so hungy ??

Iiris interrupted by sitting back on them. She must have turned the egg.

04:19 When she got up again, one chick is up and the egg is in another position
Iiris accidentally stepped on the sleeping chick

04:20 difficult to see if there is a pip or a hole on the egg
maybe someone can capture a better picture ?

Yes balistar, it was very fast!
Iiris covered the chicks and the egg shell. Now we are waiting to get the first glimpse of the newborn.
Ivo must be on the cam stand. At least he was for a while.

Lispet and Balistar, it’s wonderful! :shake:
Dear Iiris, is very tired, and she has a full house!
Hopefully, Ivo brings in breakfish, soon.
Marko, from the other Camera, brings in an early morning fish, for the chicks. 8-)

5:57 Ivo just landed without a fish. Iiris is chirping now. But softly.
Hopefully he'll get the message soon: Go get some breakfast for the kids, Ivo!

He's craning his neck to see-- is there another kiddo yet?

6:01 Yup! The 3rd chick just pulled its head out of the shell! :loveshower: :bounce:

And now Ivo is gone.

:loveshower: I am so excited to see the third chick! I've been watching and waiting. It's 11:20 here in the USA, and time for me to go to bed. I can't wait to see everyone's pictures and how the baby is doing while I sleep. Thank you everyone for posting such fantastic pictures and updates. I really love reading them to see what I've missed. see you all in 6 hours.

Hi all, great to see you (we have been following secretely ) and we are very happy with all these news! We were sort of worried about the non-feeding of chicks but also wondering what is nature doing. Could that be that Iiris and Ivo where waiting for the third chick to come to start feeding again? It could be that they knew the chick was coming. Maybe they delayed feeding and so the growth of the two first ones so the three chicks have similar ages? Pressumptous hypothesis but it was very strange to see the littles ones begging and the parents bringing fish and eating apart...
Now Iiris is feeding,... I feel so released! :loveshower:
