Sappheira :hi:

Let it happen... =)

The hatching from the egg is surely exhausting and like with us humans the peace could be the calm before the storm.

The earliest date would be around 6th June? Was that right?

Since when did you notice the hole?

How long does it take usually for an egg to hatch? (I mean with the hole in it ) Previous experiences?
I have been following the nest for 4 years by now, but I cannot recall seeing something like what we have now.
I think I have read that hatching process can take more than one day ... don't find exact data now ... It is a challenge for the chick, who has to break the egg shell with its egg tooth (a sort of hammer growing on its beak, it falls away after hatching)

The hole is noticed today morning and egg talk is heard first time late yesterday evening. Ospreys incubate 34-38 days, so today is time for the first egg (laid 38 days ago on 26th April) to hatch:

Owlie, yes, I heard the talking and posted.

Someone in the last few days has thrown the period 6th to 10th June into the room. That was my memory.

But I would have nothing against today. :2thumbsup:

Thanks for your feedback!

:hi: Good afternoon, everyone!
18:30. I have been listening to the egg talk.
I thought that it would have hatched, by now. The eggshell must be tough. The chick has a strong voice. Everything is good!
I can’t wait to see the baby, this is so exciting!

Hello everyone, good evening :hi:
20:17

This is a photo from 9:30. Today morning.

There is already no doubt that this hole. I now traced throughout the day, the baby is heard. And the voice, according to Cessi, is strong. :shake:
What pleases. :loveshower:
The hole opens very slowly. Iiris almost never gets up for more than an hour.
Therefore, it is difficult to say what is there now.

We see three eggs, and the hole in the second photo has increased markedly compared to 16:44.
And the voice is heard.

Sappheira, the hatch, should happen soon.
Good thing that it doesn’t get dark early in the evening. Iiris, is paying more attention, too. :shake:
Come on, little chick, we are all waiting to see you!

The spider, is building a web, to catch all of the small insects flying in the nest.

Did anyone else hear a four-legged animal, walking through the forest, a bit past 20:00? Iiris was listening, but she didn’t call out, or get up to look.
