How exciting! And thank you mogga for the video, my connection has decided to lag severely today and I've found it impossible to get the live cam working. It was very nice to at least see (and hear!) the recording. Out of all days I just had to have connectivity problems today when the little one might hatch

Sappheira, it appears that the little chick, might not hatch before midnight. :whistling:
Thus, it will be born on June 4th. But, the good part will be that the second egg, could hatch very close to the first egg.

Mogga, Great Video. Thanks!

Jo UK, thanks, for the info about the Nightjar.

:puzzled: Dear Bea, hasn’t posted recently. Hmmm...she might be visiting Estonia! :D If so, please give our best regards to our nests, and friends! A wave in the general direction. ;)

Good morning, all! Actually, the chick was already (barely) visible at 3:03...

...on the left, between the 1st and 2nd eggs.

Then at 3:05 you can first see it move a little - when Iiris almost steps on it. Here's a gif:

First of all, hello to all. :hi: I'm a newbie to Osprey life since last year (with Irma and Ivo). I just would like to express my gratitude to all bird friend here. What a wonderful family! Also, I'm so happy to see the newborn! :bounce: :loveshower: It's a feeling pf happiness similar when Jaak got rid of the ring. God bless Ivo, Iiris and the newborn (and the other two to be hatched). Palju armastust kõigile!

06:00 Ivo arrives, tilts head and is looking with interest at Iiris but she doesn't rise to show the baby. Instead she removes the eggshell and sets it aside. Ivo goes over to that side of the nest and then flies off. I guess he knows he's a dad now!

6:34, Ivo arrives, and Iiris rises up a little so he can look at the baby.

6:35 Iiris gets up and steps back, and they both look!

6:36 Ivo flies off.

Good Morning :loveshower:
The first chick is here and Iiris and Ivo are proud parents. Ivo flew away again to perhaps bring food. I'm not sure if the egg, that lies on the left side of the nest, is from the hatched chick, or Iiris has found out, that this egg is unfertilized and disposed it.
