Iiris was still so helpless and a bit clumsy with her first egg and developed herself to such a careful and devoted young osprey Mommy- just amazing.

Today is a raven day

First raven visits at 12:30, looking for good finds on the nest ;)


Next raven (another one or the one from before?) arrives at 13:19 and it brings a snack with it.
Looks like a piece of bread that it found somewhere.
So interesting to see how it picks up the two pieces of it with its beak, after it has broken it before.
Of course the raven didn´t want to leave something on the nest

If the Ospreys spotted a possible prey, he plunges with spread wide, unerringly in the final straight forward catch down at her. Not infrequently, he is wholly immersed in the water, but then rises instantly and effortlessly back into the air. Although it weighs only 1.5 kg, it is able to capture fish weight of 2 kilograms and carry off in order to eat at a convenient location at the waters edge.
