But that would mean that she left her breeding area very early. (only my thoughts).
Yes, she is a female. She is the first to leave (cf. Miina). Maybe her nest is in Finland? That would fit perfectly, then.

sova :hi: thank you for sharing this article, redemption is not easy and claims much effort and money. Let's hope it functions anytime. We humans have not really learnt from our many, many mistakes. When I look in our global world and the ignoration it makes me very sad and angry together.

:hi: all!
This is the 2nd day for me of not seeing any Osprey  Maybe they visited very early? Maybe Juuli has left, migrated?
It was a special season, sadness and happiness both. I'm thanking everyone who contributed with pictures, video's and comments and hope to see you all again next year.
Stay safe everyone

Absolutely.

We have seen a young couple during their most likely first breeding of chicks.
And as confidently as this season has started, the more spectacular and surprising things have become.

We felt so confident in our proud and happy joy... .
From three laid eggs we end up with Juuli, whom we look forward to with humility and hope and who will take all our wishes with her on her way in a few days. Juuli... so energetic and armed with good senses.

The osprey population has recovered very well.
However some nests (also this one) have shown us this year how high the loss in a brood can be in comparison. Never should anyone be sure that there is enough of one kind of animal.
For our birds it becomes more and more difficult to fight for their existence.

I hope our Miina is well.
I'm not so sure either that she actually migrated so early. It would be really early. But I hope.
And I hope that next spring we will recognize her among all the other females.

Marko... a very reliable partner but he has surprised me a bit lately. While Ivos chicks are supplied non-stop, our Juuli is really not spoiled. But this can also be the better school!

Many young birds are heading south these days...including problem birds like Aru.

Let us trust in their instincts and nature.

I'm looking forward to next year or better said - I look forward to it with awe.
Your enemies will not leave this place and I hope for happy coincidences!

Thank you all!
Thanks to Urmas and his team!
Thanks to our moderators for all their work!

:hi: Good evening.Think our Juu is still arround.Nice osprey call was to hear in the area.
For me the sound is like Juu.That both are not more on nest, doesn`t mean, that both are not more here.Female steal fish from Juu,get fishes from Marko if Juu was on nest.I think both are on fishing pond, spot to feed Juu.From written observation in any reports, ospreys is known, that they are still longer in the home area before migration starts.
I also want to say thank you to all for pics&vid over the season.Hope too we all will see again next season here.Any videos from this season are on youtube from me.If you found me there you can watch. :innocent:

Maybe the female has been waiting for the fish :puzzled: ... that's why Juuli screamed like that.
