Hi Solo
that's great news :loveshower: Thank You very much.
I am very happy that Skierka (English: Sparkle) manages to take care of her first two offspring well. I keep my fingers crossed for the whole stork family and I wish them luck.

SKIERKA - probably because "Skierka" comes from the Skierniewice Forest District, State Forests in the Bolimowska Forest, where she was ringed and, interestingly, members of the KOO installed her the GPS transmitter. (https://www.facebook.com/NadlesnictwoWo ... %2CO%2CP-R)

btw. Skierniewice: There are two versions of the origin of the name of the city - the first one refers to the sounds made by a hunting bird from the thrush family - a squeak, whose singing is described as "sizzling". - Fieldfare (Kwiczoł) - https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skierniewice

Hello everyone :hi:

LV - MARE
previous update (25.06. - 27.06.) https://www.looduskalender.ee/forum/vie ... 62#p811662

Mare's localisations are in her nesting area - data are in this area often inaccurate or more precisely we have one new info per day, but the lines on the map connect the last 5 data (previously we had 5 locations per day)

the yellow line connects the yesterday and today's localization at 15.30

in the forest area near the railway (there is also on creak)

:hi: Solo, thanks for link.
It will be very interesting to watch Skierka and her two offspring at the same time.
I wish them more luck than last year's young black storks with transmitters had. Only one of them is already reporting (Turek).

:hi: Hana, my pleasure
I hope, the reason can be that these transmitters are not so good as the Ornitela transmitters - maybe no all young BS perished
