chrisitz wrote: October 12th, 2018, 11:39 am ... while staring on the map I was thinking about edi. his chosen winter area is not very usual, or? in Wikipedia I sah the usual winter destinations, they are there where Karl and all the other storks are flying....what say my experts to this question?
:hi: Chrisitz,
I am only lay (and not big) expert ... yes, they are not thousands of black (and white storks) in KSA, but they are also here, especially on the west coast in Jizan area south (where large flocks white storks are sometimes seen) - our Eedi is 4th year in that area
- see (scroll down): http://www.birdsofsaudiarabia.com/p/sau ... -list.html and
- e.g. http://www.birdsofsaudiarabia.com/searc ... ck%20Stork
- and also they are infos about tagged storks in that area

Chrisitz, you saw that? https://www.looduskalender.ee/forum/vie ... 96#p425896

later maybe more or our Liz :help:

morning flew Eedi from night area to west - feeding (?) and away - direction north-east to Tendha dam and farther away
Image

maybe on the way to Tendaha (long valley)
Image
" The valley is full of natural beauty and has a 24.5-meter-high and 60-kilometer-wide dam with a storage capacity of 4,200,000 cubic sq. meters."

Solo, what beautiful pictures in Eedis area :2thumbsup: Thank you for update!
I'm very happy, that Eedi is doing well!

I'm very busy at the moment. The weather is beautiful 26°+ ! and sun (it is not normal!)
I can not change it, so I take it as it is. I do bike tours. There are many migratory birds on the way. Mainly cranes at the moment. I really enjoy seeing them. They are very close to the bike path. :innocent:

Hello Solo :hi: , I just found this posting by accident. I don't read here. Only because of your link today in Karls family topic I had a look here.
I will do the screenshots, with pleasure, but a little later, o.k.?
