Thank you :2thumbsup: that's enough for the moment!

But I will translate everything anyway. Not today! I'll do it at weekend. And I'll put it in Zile and Ozol's thread.

BTW: TY for the update

I do not think that almost all young storks with transmitter disappear, because the transmitter does not work, or is lost.
The probability is very low!
The probability is not that low: remember Piret. She got her transmitter broken and flew in the nest with it. There were also other birds with not working transmitters. If the same happened to Ziluka, we won't know about it at least until she is back to Latvia.

In text there is an information that Mare surely is somewhere in southern Sudan, where there is no GSM coverage . So we can only guess if she is alive or not.

yes, it’s true. I look at both map’s several times. New data (birdmap) appear this week’s not only in the morning, but also in the late evening. Probably in winter only Eedi send to us data, the other storks with spring migration once again.

I think the dead Storklet isn't Mare!
I think, it is Guste in 2013.. if the number of ring ir OCT9 (I put the snip in picture).
Here is story from published materials:
The black stork Guste has been shot dead, and the Ukrainian illegal hunters could be blamed for this (because it happened on an unauthorized day for hunting).
The project ornithologist Maris Strazds had traveled to Ukraine to find out why the Guste`s signal was motionless for several days. With Ukrainian colleagues he found remains of Guste in the reeds of lake. The bird was definitely shot down. The left wing was injured, the shot was made at a distance of 30 meters when the bird was flying.

Good Morning Solo and all :hi:

Made you are very welcome in this topic :2thumbsup: Thank you for the picture and information about Guste.
It's hard for me to know that. I cry for every Storklet!

Guste is such a nice name, and she was a beautiful Storklet.

Yes, I also cry, even though I did not know her.
It's evil to shoot at animals just to kill them.
I am also upset about it.

Asteria, for me there is no difference between human and animal. We all only have one life and that is valuable to us.
No new datas of Karl and Eedi today too.

December 10th
nothing new

birdmap - KARL and EEDI
KARL Last data: 21.11.2017 (he is probably on his second/cardinal wintering area in South Sudan - without GSM coverage)
EEDI Last data: 04.12.2017 (I believe firmly, he send to us data shortly)

goris AIVO and MARE
AIVO Last data: 2017-10-09
MARE Last data: 2017-10-25
I hope, they both are also O.K. and they are only in area withou GSM coverage (how Māris Strazds wrote)

maybe only the new year, the spring time may bring new data from Karl, Aivo and Mare

Good morning Solo, Anne and all :hi:

Thank you for the update. I think so too. I'm not worried about Karl and Eedi.
But with Mare and Raivo I'm not sure.
