KARL
Karl arrived this autumn migration on his first wintering place in Sudan on 13.10.
previous data
Last data: 08.11.2018, Distance: 7002 km (
https://www.looduskalender.ee/forum/vie ... 81#p621881)
new data
Last data:
15.11.2018, Distance: 7204 km (plus 202km - 7 day, cca 29km/day)
Karl spend these days much time more south (we can see the correction after uploading full data)
about Keilak Lake and the wider area here (Nov. 8, 2017)
https://www.looduskalender.ee/forum/vie ... 31#p554931
The area of L. Keilak in the dry season is about 5 km2 with a depth of about 2 m. In the wet season the area increases to over 30 km2 and the maximum depth is about 4 m. The rainfall in the region of Lake Keilak is about 640 mm per year ... The vegetation of the region around both lakes is dominated by Acacia seyal together with Balanites aegyptiaca and
various tall grasses. The rarer trees include Terminalia and Combretum. ... (source: Green, J., el Moghraby, A.I. & Ali, O.M.M. Hydrobiologia (

Sova,
BOCZ07 ZOL - ŻÓŁTY (YELLOW) find another good place for feeding
In Hungary is that stork since April (all summer and still in that area). Maybe the good weather is the reason (also the cranes - birdmap - are still in HU).
That is young stork from previous year, last winter stork spend the time in Saudi Arabia (south from Tabuk) - here:

https://bit.ly/2BeiBlR and
https://bit.ly/2OOFOPc.
I know in that moment nothing more/new about Yellow
(btw. BS are on feeding places time to time also in big groups, but on the way the are usually in small groups or also alone)

these hills are Miri Hills (the blue area = Miri lake/reservoir)
the area on one very old map (zoomed)
https://www.loc.gov/resource/g8310m.gct00289/?sp=20
the Nuba Mouintans are more north(-east) from our Karl's moving area
the road (and photos) from Talodi to Kadugli is enough far-off area our Karl - if the country look otherwise I know not

good Morning
This Polish / Hungarian BS (
BOCZ07 ZOL) fascinates me. I really want to know where to go and when. Or maybe he stays there, in Hungary.

Sova,
I'm sorry, but pls, no here the weather
it is reason why I leave from Karls family thread - in my opinion they are too much and too big pics about weather and who can explain the storks behaviour and the weather situation day by day
have a heart for that, thank you very, very much
