sigge  , the French birdwatchers tried to see Tõnn today morning near Chatte, but without result:

GT
...Tönn slept in Isère that night and must logically cross the north of the department today.
We looked for it this morning from dawn until 09h but without result...

The other reports there are from birdmap

Tõnn is heading north again, at the moment, he is in France, Grenoble area. I am always stretching my head out at the moment, because Tõnn tends to cross the place where I live, he flies directly over our place or the place where my husband works. I hope, I will see him someday! :loveshower:

The French birdwatcher Jérémie Lucas saw Tõnn today near Chatte and made 4 beautiful pictures of him :loveshower:

He wrote (GT):
1 individual, 21 Mar 2018 [Jérémie Lucas]
Note: Tönn, observed from 7.30am to 10am. Mostly inactive, at rest. Some nice feather-smoothing sessions, a short flight to reach a pine better exposed to the rare rays of the morning sun. Finished leaving shortly before 10am, unfortunately quickly lost sight of the trees. Obs to env 300m of the bird to avoid any disturbance, photos for sharing, strongly cropped! Beautiful bird :)

Hellem  thanks for the warm welcome :loveshower: and for the nice report of Tõnn. I think, I will have to wait until the saison is over and they go back to the south, seems like Tõnn takes the route through France/Germany and won't cross Switzerland this time.

Observed today morning by Willy Hugedet : :D

1 individu, 23 mar 2018 [Willy Hugedet]
Remarque :Tönn observé à 11h05, chassé par une buse, sans doute reposé plus loin en forêt. Puis réobservé prenant de la hauteur vers 11h35, perdu à 11h42 direction Salins-lès-Bains (Nord-Est).

GT
Note: Tönn observed at 11:05, chased by a nozzle, probably rested further in the forest. Then re-observed gaining height around 11:35, lost at 11:42 towards Salins-lès-Bains (North-East).

Oh, that was quick. Weather looks bad so he could take a break at Plzeň and have a cold Urquell, he deservs that after 2242km

I finally found a Czech reporting site that seems nice: http://www.birds.cz/avif/obs_new.php, look for orel volavý.

Yesterday they had 8 Black Storks (čáp černý) 8-)
