Looks like a subadult from what I know, white tips on the upside greater coverts, 5 cy?, not a young eagle anyway.

Tõnn is keeping us on our toes just seeing where he goes everyday.

Interesting thing is that another GSE was reported in artportalen.se on Saturday 0526,
seen close flying by between Arvidsjaur and Malå, only 200km SW of the latest satellite position, no hint on age tho

JanE we are all hoping now that those two meet up.

Meanwhile Tõnn is less than 100 km east of his summer lands around Lake Storsjön (Birdmap data, May 30)

Seems he checked out the old summerlands at Storsjön but then quickly turned north.
Weather is bad, 6°C and maybe snow tomorrow, rain anyway.

Poor newborn bird chicks in this weather, many will die :-(

Edit 3/6: found a dead Common Swift lying on the balcony floor this morning. Third day with rain and 4-7°C. Full speed on the bird feeder.

Tõnn was seen on Monday, yesterday and this morning at the same spot 8 km NE Åsele, that's around 50 km SE birdmap position 2.6:

Today Tõnn has headed even further into Norway (birdmap).

Tõnn is now much further south in Norway....even near some dwellings

Seems he was just following the Norwegian coastline to look for greener pastures on a new continent to the west over the Atlantic

Wopw, this young man keeps us on our toes. Tõnn is still on the move. He's way up on the head of the Scandanavian peninsula..

This GSE is keeping us guessing...he's moving south slightly.

Two years ago we thought that Oulu is too far in the North for him but now he flew even farther to the North than at that time. What is the next stop, Nordkap?

Seems he spent several days at Muonio river banks between Sweden and Finland and me thought that would be a nice summer place, but no no, keep on rolling
