Some news about Ospreys Elena and Vova from Belarus, we could follow both on our migration map

:gathering:

Elena had to build a new nest this year, as the old one had broken down. She chose a pine on an island in a swamp for her new nest and has two osprets. The island is not accessable for humans, so they can´t get rings and so no other news and details to get about the osprets.

Vova has three osprets in his nest. The nest is artificial, one of 18 artificial nests, built with the support of American International Osprey Foundation and APB (as Belarus Nature Ministry found no money for a project like this ....)

Eurasian Cranes

05.07, there are new data on the birdmap and very sad news by Aivar - Crane Aivar perished in 3rd of July 2020. Probably due attack of bigger raptor. He got his name by Aivar Leito ...

Most of the cranes are safely back in Estonia, only the two younger cranes are spending their summer in other countries: Soits 1 in Poland and Ahja 6 in Belarus

Hellem, thanks !!!
I looked at bird map 2-3 days ago, there was nothing new ...
And sad news again. I am so infinitely sorry for Aivar.

Only bad news is piling up and we have only half a year behind us.

Whether they'll see each other up there ...
I only run the disconnect .... it's just too much at the moment
