Hello Sova!
Oh God. Poor stork!
This is definitely not its natural habitat. Did this bird escape from a zoo or so?
That makes it even less likely for him to survive in the wild, doesn’t it?
Hopefully they can trap him... and find some solution. :slap:

I hope this poor stork has been reported to the animal welfare authorities ... and that they are currently figuring out an appropriate strategy to trap him ... and offer him what he needs...

Thank you, Juta

Our Karula decided to spread his wings.
He flew a bit to the north, had some feeding stops, and returned to the Tal Al-Mantah fishponds, where he spent the entire afternoon. :D

This route is 19.2 km long.
At 17:50:52 (UTC+2), the battery level was 68%.

It is not clear whether he spent the previous night in (or near) the fishponds near Umm al'Obor or flew there (very) early this morning. We have no data from evening to early morning.

There has been a BIRDMAP UPDATE for little VEDRU

• Previous data (second update): 28.10.2020, distance 4314 km (+72 km on the same day; total = +318 km in 1 day), a little southeast of Yeniköynazımbey, Ceyhan District, Adana Province, Turkey.
NEW data: 31.10.2020, distance 4383 km (+69 km in 3 days), same area, near Yeniköynazımbey, Ceyhan District, Adana Province, Turkey.

I hope Vedru finds plenty of food and gains enough strength to continue his/her migration successfully.
