a strange thought has come to my mind - maybe also Kati was provided with a transmitter so that we can follow the whole family....
Summi
I think that all the time. It would be nice to see where she flies

Following Karl's Family.... Kati is one of them

already done or planned for next year??

It would be wonderful :D

But when could that happen? Without danger to the family? :puzzled:

when they trapped Karl, they where not sure who it is (Kati or Karl) :headroll:
it is maybe big stress for adult animals - Karl had been missing for several days if I remember correct

I'm very much sorry that have made probably during data selection some mistake. Most of data on map were not connected to Maru at all. Therefore suggest to erase those maps in forum what show Marus locations before 4th of August. At the moment Maru is not visible on map and will be recovered if we can get rid of fake data in database. Hope it will not take too much time.
Tried to update map data in field conditions and probably there the mistake happened.

I think so too! Catching an adult storks is a bit risky :puzzled:
I prefer, that two young storks find each other, both with an transmitters and then start breeding when they are ready for that.
My interest is how far apart female and male are, when they fly to Africa. At the same place or a different area. :shake:

Liz, very probably they are in different area - more or less. You can seen that on NABU WS couple (https://blogs.nabu.de/stoerche-auf-reisen/karte-gross/). I think with BS it is not so much different.

So Maru flew back north, to the Latvian border.

They fly after the food. It's too hot and too dry everywhere over Europe.
