Thank you, Juta.

Karula did not spent the night in 'his' forest.
Today, Karula was again exploring the forest south of Pope and west of Puzes ezers, near Dzirciems.
He flew 19.0 km.

So far, he didn't return to ‘his’ forest today either.

It looks like Karula had a disturbed night.

Thanks, Jo!

Today, Karula flew 101 km.
He visited Jaunupe and Liepene.

Then he flew (very fast!) southwards towards Landze and Piltene
At 16:23:11 (UTC+3) Karula was back in 'his' forest, at the Vēždūka stream.

Good evening,

Jo, Anne, Sova, many thanks for the reports, maps and the interesting pictures!
Karula makes every day a nice journey to explore the surroundings. But the area at Vēždūka river must be the very best. This is maybe the new „Jordan River Valley of the north“. :D

Hello, Michi
Yes, I believe it is quite possible that Karula will spend the summer in this area.

Thank you, Jo!

Yesterday evening, Karula was near a small village(? 7-8 buildings) called Zūru mežniecība.
He spent the night in the forest a bit northeast of it.

He spent quite some time west of Puzes ezers (lake)
Then he flew to his favourite forest, near the Vēždūka stream. But he didn't stay there.

At the moment Karula is west of Rapati, looking for food on a small stream called Krēziņģe

Karula made a nice excursion today.
He is currently a little north of Amele, at the southern edge of the nature reserve Raķupes ieleja.
That reserve is 22.04 km² in size
https://www.protectedplanet.net/37086

While sending data at 19:23:02, Karula was flying at 33 km/h.
Image

This morning, Karula started to travel around 10:00

Karula seems to like the nature reserve Raķupes ieleja.
