Eagle Owl on Beleef de Lente
The Beleef de Lente website in the Netherlands hosts eight different webcams. One of them is focused on Bubo bubo, the Eagle Owl.

Background Information (from English translation of Dutch webpage)
"This pair of Eagle Owls has been breeding in this stone quarry for several years, usually on the same ledge. In 2007 they had 2, in 2008 3 and in 2009 one young. Last year, 3 eggs had been laid, but the owl was chased off the nest by ill-behaved youth. Probably 2 eggs cooled down too much, causing the embryo's to die."
The female owl will lay 2-4 eggs. Incubation time is about 33 days. Only the female will incubate the eggs. Young will fledge in about 4 weeks but will stay near the nest as "branchlings" until they can really fly (at about 9 weeks).
This female is thought to be at least 5 years old. She laid one egg on February 18 (the log does not report any additional eggs).

Already the eagle owl seems to be on the nest
and
the little owl is being bothered by a pigeon!
Last time I looked nothing was happening and I forgot to go back
now seriously

Hopefully more than one egg! Although I think one egg is normal for Bubo bubo, too...Fleur wrote:The webcams are officially launched.

they do not know exactly how many eggs she has already laid. but on average they lay 2 to 4
The first egg was probably laid on February 19 or 18

Most definitely! She has just left the nest -- to stretch her wings, or perhaps for an encounter with her husband. :)Fleur wrote:...

Trillian,
The cameras all load for me - of course, it is now several hours since you asked your question so perhaps something was fixed in the meantime.
Mama Owl is preening and inspecting her eggs.

Hi Trillian,
You're not the only one having problems, there's been lots of msgs in the Dutch Q&A-forums on the BDL-site (haven't had problems myself though, so cannot speak from experience).
This is the translation of what it says up to now in the FAQs on the BDL-site:

My own guess - some security setting at the server at your workplace.Q - I have no webcam images. What to do?
A - Some BDL-visitors have a black image. Often this is due to personal PC-settings, and there is no general solution. Some hints:
* It make take a while before the images load on slow connections (Note Bosuil: and due to server overload?)
* Suitable browsers: Internet Explorer, Mozilla/Firefox.
* Pop-ups shouldnot be blocked by the browser - check settings;
* Check settings of virusscanner (Note LN: and firewall, too): it may block the images;
* You need Adobe Flashplayer in order to see the images.
* Not solved yet? Get in touch wit our Servicecentrum.

Yes, I fear that is the solution. Though I didn't had Problems last year and also none with other pages...
What a pity...

At the nest designated for Koolmees there is a video of a Jay trying in vain to widen the nest-hole.. very sad.
or is it Woody Woodpecker ?
I am very stuuupid..its a Nutatch (?) picking bugs from the wood so he/she doesn't get parasites in the feathers.

The two eaglets are growing by the day. You can see them regulary now in the daytime.
Or even at night tme. At this moment the mother Owl has gone to ?feed or find prey. The eaglets can easily be seen too,with infra-red cam.

The barnowl can be seen most nights either inside the nest (there is a store of prey building up.!!) or on the outside ledge; cam 2
