19th of February

I read along the way that a hatch is expected around March 1st.

Here the male Clyde can be seen. He doesn't come into the nest but brings Bonnie a mouse via branch. Or better - he offers it.
Bonnie joins him, but doesn't take her eyes off the nest.

Shortly afterwards, Clyde leaves the tree, Bonnie follows him. But it's back quickly.

The snow begins to melt. Nevertheless it is still cold and it seems to be windy today.

Beleef de Lente - Eagle owl (Bubo bubo)
https://www.vogelbescherming.nl/beleefdelente/oehoe

She has 3 eggs

***Eagle owl couple. At least one of the eagle owls comes from captivity, but has lived in the wild for years.
Photographers saw that one of the owls was wearing a breeders ring. In addition, this eagle owl was easy to approach. It cannot be said with certainty whether the second eagle owl is a wild specimen.***

en skam ...

I checked yesterday, but actually just missed this visit ...
Thanks Bea! :2thumbsup: Too bad that this visually excellent webcam runs without sound. I especially like the sounds of the eagle owl. It's exciting to hear them without seeing them.

There was again a visitor today, just when I opened the cam. S/he took off only moments after I managed to make this snapshot

Really pity that there is no sound, their vocals are sooo interesting

:hi: Polly
When I recorded the presence of an owl for the first time on February 23rd, there was the sound! I have no idea why the audio was cut off from streaming :puzzled:

Mamicja :hi: , I know this camera only without sound. Already last year, or am I mistaken. Did you perhaps have the luck to catch a trial period with sound?
You can see from their movements and plumage when they call. But I miss their sounds terribly ...

Yesterday I was lucky and managed to catch a short visit. Is it the male? Probably. He also called and I would have loved to know if he received a response.
He was only briefly in the nest.

I just started the camera - sound is playing.

:rotf: :loveshower:

From the comment function:

GT:

"Hello everyone, The mysterious sounds are due to a very sensitive microphone. Right now I am sitting and regulating on a built-in noise filter in the software, which causes certain problems. If I turn up the noise filter too much, most sounds disappear and if I turn it down, there is too much noise on the line. Maybe we should just turn to the fact that it sounds a bit like the owl's nest is on a raft in the sea :-) " Crows

Thanks from me too!

Farmer Derek

March 15th

Live:

Both chicks hatched on March 7th. :bounce:
For a long time it wasn't even clear how many eggs there were. The nest hole is very unreasonable. They haven't been seen for a long time, but now both can be seen while they are being fed. :innocent:
