Just for my personal interest --- what are your parameters for feeling this? How did they behave or not behave?

Unfortunately I never got to see Bubo and Bo live. But I saw a lot of videos of them. KrThey often met at the nest and there were deliveries. I hardly (almost never) saw it in this nest. If I understood the observers there correctly, there were doubts about the couple's bond.
Yes, maybe Mamicja can say more.

I, too, would like to know why the female left the nest and the egg. It is not known what age she is and whether she has any experience in breeding. The male was definitely bringing food at the transfer site, yesterday it seemed that the female was eating something in the nest. Maybe it was a broken egg?
I hope Klaus Dichmann will pass on some information.
In my opinion, the female did not feel safe in this place, after all, it is an active gravel pit. During the day, people are there and machines are working. Owls often nest in these environments, but they need to get used to it.
In the meantime, the female visited the nest. Video soon.
EDIT
The female in the nest

A few days ago the camera operator showed a close-up of the female, but unfortunately the ring was not visible. Partly with sound.

Eagle Owl, Netherlands, Beleef de lente

https://www.vogelbescherming.nl/beleefdelente/oehoe

Whenever the female gets up I am fascinated to look at four eggs :D

Image

First time I saw four eggs I wandered whether this Eagle Owl couple will be able to raise four owlets (in case all should hatch).
But meanwhile, during the evening hours while I was able to observe the cam, a lot of mice were delivered to the female.
The agricultural area (?) around this barn might be a very good source for a lot of mice, so that raising all four owlets could be possible.
I am curious how things will go on here.

The female has returned and is incubating her 2 eggs again.
I hope she will lay another one, those two were not incubated for too long.

Eagle Owl, Denmark

March 24th

An uncertainty remains.
Yes, the female returned and sat on her cold eggs. But their stays in the nest are only sporadic. You can hear the owls, both are there.

Article:
https://www.dof.dk/om-dof/nyheder?nyhed_id=1948

The disorder was very likely caused by humans. But it's all just speculation.
Whatever the reason - very, very unfortunate.

Eagle Owl, Denmark

I think this season for the Eagle Owl in Denmark is lost, as well as we will not see little fluffy balls in Königstein, Germany.
Same as for the Great Horned Owl in Arizona (Shadow Ridge High School, Surprise - three eggs have not hatched)
Image

and in Indiana (Indianapolis, John Reese cam - the female left the nest after several days of heavy snowstorm)
Image

In Denmark, the male sometimes shows up at the nest to try to encourage the female to come back, but she is apparently so scared that she doesn't dare to go into the nest.
