Good evening all,

in the last videos unfortunately I also couldn't see a second egg.

Some minutes ago Lotte got up, but only half, if I remember right. And I couldn't find a second egg either.

Maybe in a video one can see more? :puzzled:

Thank you all for the reports, pictures and the videos!

Thank you for the video, Bea. So there was not more to see ...
Do the Eagle Owls lay their eggs normally every two days? Unfortunately I've forgotten it, - but I think it was so. Then Lotte is already now a whole day past due? The second egg should really come this night.

I can't see a second egg, we have to wait for Leo. May be then we can get a glimpse on nest bowl.
Lotte has ever laid 3 eggs only in 2017 there were two. Could it be she is to old now? :puzzled:

I think, there could be a second egg now, - seen at about 00:25:39 - 00:25:49. :puzzled:

At 00:14 (about 00:14:30) I saw a pushing or a twitch on Lottes body, - but only once. Before I hadn't watch the cam only every now and then.
00:17:54 Lotte got up very slowly, she preened herself until almost 00:26.
At 00:25:29 she allowed a look under her belly, but not completely.
It must have been the time between 00:25:39 until 00:25:49 when I thought I'd seen a second egg. Unfortunately the most important picture failed.

00:17 Lotte got up slowly.

00:25:38 I think, only few seconds later I've seen two eggs, - at least before 00:25:49.

I think, now it's worth to make another video. :D

01:42 Lotte got up for a short stretch.
Unfortunately this doesn't look as if there were two eggs. :-(

Before - at 01:38 - Lotte called several times. But Leo didn't show up until now.

Good night all!

March 12

:hi: Bea, at 7:52 a second egg behind the first was clearly to be seen. Please proof it, I have no pic.
At 08.07 it looks like 3 :puzzled:

Good morning :hi:

Oh boy - three eggs now??? :faint:

I´ll have time to check that all little bit later .... first some duties have to be done here

The subject "how many eggs and when?" is surely not boring this season, isn´t it?

Checking my night recordings with fast-forward-function it could have been that Lotte laid an egg some time after 7 o´clock in the morning.

She got food from Leo around 05:20 and then there was only one egg visible.

More a bit later

I can see two eggs on your pics.
If we assume that the first egg was laid on March 9, then the second egg today is within the deadline. Around 7 in the morning it looked like Lotte is in labor.

That sounds very plausible, Mamicja
You always had your doubts about an egg on 7. March, right? And it fits your observations that Lotte still scratched so hard in the nest bowl and she wouldn´t have made this when there was an egg already

Lotte flying out, maybe she saw Leo somewhere? Can´t say whether she got food, she could be heard calling hoarse all the time until she came back

Leo delivers again a bird, he seems to concentrate on catching song birds in night time ....
Looks like a thrush again :puzzled:

Now here are the videos from 07:52 and 08:07 (romy told the time), where the eggs can be seen

07:52

08:07

Do you see a special moment where you want to have a slow-mo, romy? Maybe the moment where you thought there could be a third egg? I can make one when you can tell me the exact time
