:hi: Happy New Year for all Eagle Owl lovers here!

Let´s hope we will be able to follow another season with our Eagle owl couple here .... and I am already so curious WHERE there will be the nest place .... after all the surprises of the last two years ...

When opening this new topic I discovered that I was a lazybones in updating the main events from 2017 :faint:
But I caught up now and hope I found all "important" dates right, please let me know when you, who also make lists with dates, find mistakes ....

During the last weeks/months I found no visible sign of one of our Eagle Owls in my night recordings. There were some gaps when I was out and not at home, but I got nearly complete recordings most of the time.

8. January

Today in the morning around 08:11 a female Eagle owl could be heard calling hoarse, but in a bit distance.
Cam operator searched all around, but she couldn´t be caught in cam view.

The last few days female and male Eagle owl calls were heard.

It would be nice to see them, or at least one of them, in cam view .... at one of the nesting places, with a bit scratching and hooting ..... :D

An Eagle Owl on the opposite ridge - cam operator did his best to get a better view of it!

As far as I could see it the owl was sitting there until it became so dark that nothing else could be seen with the cam.

Later there was hooting closer to the traditional nest place, but no one came in sight.

Could be Leo, hm? Ring on left leg?

I am a bit frustrated .... my recordings froze at 02:22 this night and I didn´t notice it in time today in the morning to restart it ... so I missed the visit
After months finally a visit and then this .... :faint:

:hi:
It seems to me that the camera has changed the location a bit. Did someone visit the ledge yesterday?

:hi: ... and the picture is clearer. It also seems that the camera can be reset for 10 minutes.

2. February

When I checked the cam at 13:45 Stefan Brücher was on the ledge, can´t say how long he was already up there ...

Image

There was no audio transmission, only video

He must have been at the microphone at the nestbowl, too - because there was sound later

At 14:04 he appeared in view of the other cam, neither sound from here

Some sorrowful glances ....

Demontage of some technical stuff ....

When this video stops also transmission stopped and there was an endless repeating video again.

But later transmission began to work ....
