The Eagle owl arrived at 18:30 and it came from the same direction to where s/he took off later .... but short after take-off an Eagle owl flew direction opposite ridge .... was it the same who had taken off short before and turned around or was it the other Eagle owl and their ways had crossed out of cam view? :puzzled:

There was hooting at Eagle owls arrival (I think I heard Lotte, but was it her on the ridge or was she hooting somewhere else?) and again female hoarse calls around 18:36, but despite at that time the Eagle owl was zoomed I could not see whether s/he was hooting or the other one out of view .... :puzzled:

Hmmmmm ...... and now? What do these two visits mean? :puzzled:

I make some guesswork :D

Maybe Lotte is not yet sitting and breeding somewhere and Leo wants to lure her to the places where he wants her to see? :dunno:

Other opinions?

But the last days I supposed that she is already sitting on eggs on a still unknown breeding place ..... :dunno:

? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

:hi: I was missing the call of Lotte today in the evening. In the morning at about 6 I have heard both like at the last days. I thought Lotte is breeding in the near, but where was she today?

Bummer, I missed Leo's visit out :puzzled:
It's high time for eggs there, I think Lotte is already incubating somewhere nearby.
The only person, who for sure knows more is Stefan Brücher ........ I am impatiently waiting for his notice.

Cam operator zoomed on her and then zoomed off again, maybe he wants to see in which direction she takes off and follow her ...

Leo arrived and they mated on the opposite ridge

Leo took off to the right side, but then made a turn and disappeared to the left side, maybe even opposite side of the valley

Lotte took off to the right side, looks like she was "diving" to a lower place

No Lotte, but a cute little Robin checked the 2017-nestplace for some food (and maybe a nestplace for itself?)

19. March

At 06:13 Leo was visiting the traditional nestplace, we have only sound about this event, as cam operator did not zoom on him, cam stayed focussed on 2016-nestplace.

At 06:17 Leo flew over to 2016-nestplace and chuckled and hooted .... again to lure Lotte to one of the known nestplaces?

He was not on the 2017-nestplace, he is not there on my recordings.

He left at 06:26

Where is Lotte and what is she doing? :puzzled:

Leo visited nesting place 2017 once and 2016 twice. He apparently doesn't like traditional nesting place. I have heard Lotte's voice twice, but from far away.
