Es gab im Nest 3 Eier, aber nur ein Küken ist geschlüpft.
Die erste Fütterung war besonders.

Yesterday we only almost fed.

Wow, really nice round bellies! Sweet pics from an nest in a tree, very rarely to see with this species. :2thumbsup:

Anybody interested in watching Falcon chicks ringing at Anacapa, California

it still can be seen at live channel, rewind back to 11:34 approx.

From 11:34 till 12:22



1st feeding after men left occurred at 14:22, 2 hours after ringing.

Today eyasses were ringed.

The ringing man took many samples of the chicks' feathers and from the nest. At the end there was a photo session.

Mom came back with a meal after about 2 hours.

Kestrel nest in Brest, Belarus

I have already watched this cam in previous season, this is for the first time that the stream can be watched on youtube. Also 2nd cam to show all the space:

mea culpa! Sorry...

There are 2 nests at the same high building with 2 females and 1 male! :dunno:

It will be interesting to watch if male will be able to feed nestlings from both nests.

Female to be seen. They said that she has left eggs for 2 days during incubation, probably this is a reason why there are no chicks in the nest

Sad news, the youngest chick died from friday to saturday overnight. It gives a FB-blog, someone is daily posting there.
He wrote (only in german):
Rathausturm-Wanderfalken
am Samstag
Wie wir schon befürchtet hatten, hat sich unserer kranker Jungfalke leider nicht erholt. Er zog sich gestern Abend in den hinteren Teil des Horstes zurück und ist wohl über Nacht verstorben. So hart ist die Natur manchmal. Ein Eingreifen hätte aber die drei anderen Jungfalken gefährdet und müsste zudem erst genehmigt werden. Die drei verbleibenden Falken machen schon gewagte Flügelübungen auf dem Balkon. Sie werden der Horst wohl in den nächsten Tagen verlassen. Dann heisst es Daumen drücken, damit die erste Landung gelingt und nicht in einem Kamin, einem Taubennetz oder auf Stahlspikes endet. Aber hoffen wir das Beste. Futter wird jetzt nur noch geliefert. Alle drei fressen selbstständig und versuchen sich die gebrachte Beute sofort unter den Nagel zu reissen.
