:hi: Birdfriend,

ha, I just wanted to post a picture from the first feeding, too.
And I was already wondering where you are - and here you are  :D

It was funny, that Diamond didn't want to get up, when Xavier came in first with a smaller prey. Then he went out with the prey and came back later with a bigger one. That worked !!
Diamond got up and Dad Xavier had one minute time to introduce himself to the little hungry crying fluffy and to cuddle it, before Mom Diamond returned with the half eaten prey. Xavier didn't want to leave quickly, he sure would have liked to feed the baby. But Diamond left no doubt that she herself is beginning to feed the newborn.

So sweet, the baby even swallowed big pieces.

05:48 Xavier is looking if there is something in the half egg shell to feed to the crying baby
Image

Now we are awaiting the second hatch....

08:06 Xavier brought the next bird, Diamond took it and leaves
Image

08:07 Xavier runs to his baby and the two eggs
Image

he is so proud and likes to brood :innocent:
Image

08:16 Diamond is back with the plucked bird and Xavier must leave again. But this time he had nine minutes
Diamond put the bird in stock and went back on baby and the two eggs to hold them warm.
