I made a video of all the different birds that appeared at my feeding places.
Since one and a half year I am feeding them and recording a lot.

So this is a summary of this time.
There were 13 different bird species so far.

You can guess their names, if you like.
But not the professionals among you – for them it's too easy! :D

:hi: Mogga,
what a beautiful and diverse feeding-station, selfmade i guess?

I recognized 11 from these 13.
I'm not sure at # 2 (the singing is as wonderful as from a nightingale).
And what a huge bird is #3 ? Didn't see a bird like this before. As big as a blackbird.
# 13 was an exotic (3-coloured) "birdy"

From my little feedingplace I can add two crested tits and two long tailed tits, coming every day, always the same couples.

Thank you for this nice video.

Edit:
#2 could it be a Prunella modularis? I don't know in English (in German it is Heckenbraunelle)

Amazing video you made, mogga!
I ask me, what is this for a "oddity bird" at the end from your movie... :rotf:

balistar  I think number three are juvenile blackbirds.

 balistar, Birdfriend,

Yes, the birdhouse is selfmade.
I will soon rework it a little, the feed becomes too wet, if it is raining.

Right, Number 2 is a 'Heckenbraunelle' :D 'Dunnock' in English.
Number 3 are juvenile blackbirds, as Birdfriend said. After leaving the nest, they were running around on my terrace every day for about 2 or 3 weeks.

Crested and long-tailed tits have not been here so far.

There are 3 cats here in the neighborhood. I always scare them off, but they don't care about it. The next day they cross over my terrace as if nothing has happened... :D

:hi: mogga and Birdfriend,

aaah, juvenile blackbirds :slap: So far I only saw juvenile great tits and blue tits at my place - this year about 10-12 - as cute as yours, mogga, in your video, sitting on the thin twigs, waiting and loudly begging for food :D

The voice from the dunnock is just gorgeous.

Since two days appeares, when it gets dark, a "cleaner" at the feedingplace on the ground - a hedgehog

My cat is only watching the birds - he does not chase them. It's interesting for him, watching them also from behind the window.

Great video, mogga

Number 13 ....

Currently main species at my feeder are Treesparrows and Housesparrows, a very "bossy" male Blackbird and some females, Chaffinch, Great Tit, Blue Tit (but only few Great and Blue Tits the last days).

And two Ravens .... robbing the fatballs ...

Blue tit tries to find out which is the best one.
Don't rush it, it takes a while.

Ok, here's another video I made today.
Again a blue tit. It takes a bath every day. No matter if it's very cold and even if it's raining. When it's about 14:00 I know the blue tit will take a bath.

I found this guide on Animal Help Now webpage. It is the American organization, but hints could be useful anywhere.

Today I fed a mullard with six ducklings. Suddenly the Mom-duck attacked one of her kids and beated it with her beak so hard that poor duckling fell on its back and couldn't turn out! To stop beating I chased her away. The duckling stayed near the bank. A few minutes later the mullard returned, helped the ducking to turn back and left. The duckling followed her and other siblings. I don't know, what was it.
