And Piret realizes – it was nothing but a dream. She is still in Sudan, she is not yet together with Madis and Oscar and his fellows don’t exist.
So she gets up and after some powerful, fast wingbeats they soon reach their cruising altitude. The long and dangerous flight back home starts.

It is supposed that they have spent the winter in Spain or Portugal.

I can't wait for Piret and family to return, but I found this osprey nest where they have laid 3 eggs already. The nest is in Florida, USA. Strange looking things in the nest. Here is the link. Enjoy.

If anyone is interested in what bears do in America during the winter, here is a link. This place puts web cams in the dens of wild bears and shows us what they really do in the winter. Dr Lynn Rogers and Sue Mansfield are the researchers who walk in the woods with wild bears. I have been following these bears for about 4 years and have witnessed the live birth of wild bear cubs in the dens with their mothers. The research they do is amazing and I have learned so much. These are wild black bears and they walk with Dr. and Sue in the woods. I can not say enough about this place. The cams run 24 hours and a mod is available at different times. Please check in and read about the wonderful work these people do and the things they have learned. This is very interesting web page and I love to go to the web page. 3 resident bears live at the center all year. Right now they are in hibernation. Here is the link. If you love all animals and I think anyone who checks out these pages does. Please check out the bears. Right now there are 2 newborn cubs in a den and 2 one year old cubs in another den, both dens have web cams. Very cool.

I was just going to post the link for the Alcoa Osprey web cam, but you beat me to it. This is the first weekend the osprey have been back, up till now it has been turkey vultures. They are interesting birds also. Turkey vulture nest not on yet.
As for the crab at the Florida osprey nest I have seen a nest of the bald eagles at the Alcoa Plant bring back turtles. Interesting to see turtle shells in the nest. Haven't seen them eat one yet, not sure if I want to.

That is the link to the BE nest at Alcoa. Two eggs on this nest. This nest is in the area, when my son was little and we lived in Iowa, we would go along the Mississippi River and watch the bald eagles fly along the river, hundreds of them would perch in the trees and fish where there was no ice on the river. He is 40 now and still remembers those trips.
If someone will tell me how to post a couple of pictures I have of turkey vultures in the osprey nest at Alcoa I have a couple of good ones. If anyone is interested. Thanks

You basically need to upload your pics to some other site first. Many are free (Photobucket, ImageShack, tinypic etc.) And then you need to put the image address between [Img]-signs which can be found from up of "Post a reply".

I´ve been watching Liberty & Justice as well. The Alcoa web cams seem to have a good clear picture. Before Liberty & Justice nested there visited many beautiful Bald Eagle juvies at the nest. So there really seem to be lots of action/ birds nearby.

Have you seen Jurgen's travel tales? He is in Canada until June or July.
