Thank you for this Nancy.
I am just speechless.
Maybe I shouldn't think about birds at all for a few days, I'm running out of kleenex.

Hello my friends,

So we meet again, in a different area today. I just opened my cam for the Osprey nest and of course, it's still very dark and black but there are sounds of the forest. I will still watch and listen for a time as it is so very peaceful, there, unlike where I am now. I have always preferred the outdoors, the wilderness and the openness of being way far away from the crowded streets and the busy sidewalks. Nature is where I belong and where my heart is.

Yes another nest is finished for the year and I hope and wish for next spring's migration to bring us many lovely birds to watch and listen to. Oh yes. :D

The owls I watch are starting to come back to their boxes for the winter, just to let the other owls know these are theirs and no one is to take them for their own.

I have watched all the videos except for NancyM's nature one so far, because I wanted quiet and enough time to watch in peace and quiet. So far, so good but I miss the Osprey the most and I pray they all have a very safe travel to their winter home.
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

This is my first year paying so much attentions on bird related things.

Thank you NancyM for the songs and video, I'll try to get the movie to watch.
What a shame! I never knowed there's such an incredible movie like this.

Some people has many flying dreams. Including my wife, She told me that is so real in her dreams since she was a kid. flying across rivers and moutains and trees. maybe it's the memories of her pre-existence. :D

This morning a Great Tit and a Raven visited the osprey nest - each for just a few moments. That Raven is huge - I thought s/he was as large as Nori, so I superimposed a couple of pictures to see (I think they are roughly the same size).

Then I wanted to see how the raven, tit, and Eurasian jay that we saw a few days ago compared, so I put them all into the same picture, just for fun.

A good first step, now if we can just get them to hold hands and sing...

(great idea and pic, Nancy!)

It took me a while to find the Tit, it is so small.

Now that the thread is closed I was brave enough to open the cam so I could hear what there was to hear.
