So without webcams to see there is nothing to say ...? Hmmm.Jo UK wrote:We have shrunk to a tiny dot in cyber space, Liis!

Actually there are at least three dots: the webcams, the forums and LK main page. There hasn't been any webcam statistics for a long time, so no idea how seals vs pigs vs eagles stands.

At last, we have some news about our webcams.
This is an "empty time" in Estonian nature so we have to wait a little longer for Nature to allow us to see our webcams again. It requires freezing temperatures and the beginning of winter weather to make it possible to put food on the feeding grounds.
The following dates are approximations of when conditions may be favourable.
Sea Eagles Winter Feeding Ground, in West Estonia is predicted (by Mr. LK) for November 15th.
Winter Feeding cam of Birds - November 30th
-Sea TV / Boar TV – when the ground is deeply frozen, then it´s reasonable to supply with food, somewhere in the beginning of December.
Webmaster also says that new equipment is all ready to go. We shall have better pictures and new techinical possibilites. I don't know what that is, yet!

The topic Webcam News has been locked for a time, to allow excitement to subside!
Meanwhile, there is a new Ranting topic, if any needs to use it.

Recently there have been a few adverse comments about the size of pictures we are posting, and the length of time it takes to load a page. Also, some pictures have been too big to fit the page and caused side-to-side scrolling.
So now, we have a limit of picture size of 800 x 600 pixels, As for file size, please try to keep to or below 250Kb per picture.
Our usual guidelines are to post 3 - 5 pictures per post. If your pictures are large file size, then please keep to one picture per post. This will help those with slower connections.

All change! This forum software doesn't like having image size restrictions entered into its ACP (Admin Control Panel) which is why it is technically possible to post almost any size picture. I forgot that and entered 850 x 650 as a size restriction, then no-one could post pictures at allJo UK wrote:Recently there have been a few adverse comments about the size of pictures we are posting, and the length of time it takes to load a page. So now, we have to remember to be self-limiting with our pictures. Some members always post pics that are 848 x 420 or so, and that is a good size. If your picture is 1024 wide, that is a bit too big.
Thanks for your co-operation.

yes, I understand but...I do not use photobucket, but another program which reduces the pictures.
I use that for my own pictures, to edit
if there are takers for the link I have put them where you progr. download.
Then I put them on the forum with tinypic.
My pictures are always 800 by 600 pixels = approximately 70 kb
